Intentional Relationships: Victims don’t Win

Case 1:Lassa fever is an acute viral illness that occurs in west Africa. The illness was discovered in 1969 when two missionary nurses died in Nigeria. The virus is named after the town in Nigeria where the first cases occurred.

Case 2: Ebola virus was first discovered in 1976 near the Ebola River in what is now the Democratic Republic of Congo. Since then, the virus has been infecting people from time to time, leading to outbreaks in several African countries. Scientists do not know where Ebola virus comes from.

Case 3: Many health experts believe that the new strain of coronavirus originated in bats. The first transmission to humans was in Wuhan, China. Since then, the virus has mostly spread through person-to-person contact.

Do you see what is going on?
In case 1, virus was discovered in Africa, it bears the name of where it was discovered.
Case 2, virus was discovered in Africa, it bears the name of where it was discovered.
Case 3, virus was discovered in China, suddenly the method is naming changed. It is not Wuhan Virus it is now Corona Virus Disease. They even “funkified” it and named it COVID-19!

If you don’t understand what I am saying, I will make it simple;
If you are perceived as weak and poor, you will be stigmatized at every possible opportunity. That is what is happening to Africa.
If you are perceived as strong and weak, the rules will be bent to prevent stigmatizing you even when you get the short end of things. That is what has happened to China and the Wuhan Virus Disease.

You may start life at the lower rung of the ladder but you should not be comfortable to continue life at that end.
Get an education either in school or out of school (most will continue out is school). Change your mentality, your way of thinking. Take informed and calculated actions and see your life change!
You cannot continue playing the victim and expect to win. Victims don’t win!
